Overview:
ISI's College Remedial Writing Mechanics is a computer assisted instruction program
designed to improve the reading skills of college students. This is an extensive,
comprehensive course that covers eleven skill areas: Combining Ideas, Capitalization,
Punctuation, Spelling, Usage, Main Ideas, Organizing Text, Sentence Completion, Sentence
Structure, Transition Words, and Revision. The course individualizes instruction for each
student, selecting the appropriate skill areas and levels according to the student's
pattern of response. In addition to this course, ISI also offers
College Remedial Math, College Remedial Reading, and Foundations of College
Math.
