Overview:
ISI's Foundations of College Mathematics is a multimedia computer-assisted
instruction program designed to help improve the math skills of students preparing for
college entrance. The course provides instructional lessons and reinforcement in the
content areas required for most incoming college students. In addition to this course, ISI
also offers
College Remedial Math, College Remedial Reading, and College Remedial
Writing Mechanics.
Objectives:
This is a listing of the course outline, with a single objective
listed for each topic area. This course is very comprehensive and has a great number of

(1) Analytic Geometry: find the area of a parallelogram given coordinates;
(2) Algebra: understand scientific notation;
(3) Combinatories: permutations of n things r at a time;
(4) Euclidean Geometry: find the length given a side and diagonal;
(5) Logic: truth tables;
(6) Probability: random sampling and probability;
(7) Statistics: find the exprssion for a mean;
(8) Transformation Geometry: find the image under a line reflection;
(9) Word Problems: inequalities.
